In December I had the pleasure of joining Patrick Akil for a fire side chat about the “human stuff” in teams – all the unspoken opinions, expectations, frustrations, etc etc – how it affects everything, whether you like it or not, and what can be done about it. We covered a lot, from perfectionism, the benefit of allowing ourselves to be learners, to how our unconscious fear of others’ opinions shapes our behaviour.
However, while I could talk about these subjects for hours, I am a podcast newbie, and I hated hearing myself. Especially the long think pause at the start before I knew we were “on air”. Let’s say I learned lots of lessons I can’t wait to apply.
